    About The Book

    Ghost in the Rocks

Deep in the rugged mountains of Arizona and New Mexico, wildlife biologist Whip Sawtell witnesses something eerie, a ghost-like predator slipping through the darkness. But before he can process what he’s seen, gunshots ring out from across the Mexican border. Someone doesn’t want him there.

Meanwhile, Dan Quinn, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife undercover agent, is on the hunt for illegal wildlife traffickers. When their paths cross, they uncover an illegal animal trap—a trap that could be meant for a mountain lion… or something even rarer.

    Outlaw Creek

Wildlife biologists, Whip Sawtell and Cat Bonner, enter an abandoned mine near Thermopolis, Wyoming to conduct a bat inventory. Along with bats, they find two dead men: one shot more than a hundred years ago, one killed very recently. An explosion at the mine entrance traps the two biologists underground. Before escaping they stumble upon a hidden cave and artifacts that point to the former owner of the mine, the famous outlaw, Butch Cassidy. Sawtell discovers his old foe, a Wyoming state senator who now owns the ranch and mine, may be involved. Is a modern-day band of brigands murdering people to protect a hundred year-old outlaw treasure?

    Disappearance Creek

Conducting wildlife surveys in a remote mountain wilderness east of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, wildlife biologist Whip Sawtell uncovers a series of mysterious disappearances. A pack of northern gray wolves vanished, then a small plane sent out by the government to look for the pack crashed without a trace. An elk hunter disappeared in the same area.
